Sherman Residence
800 sqft first and second floor addition and renovation

This project consists of a first floor addition of a recreation room used by the children for dancing and by Mr. Sherman for weight lifting. The second floor addition includes two expanded bedrooms, a third bathroom, larger laundry room and a large storage room. The second floor addition was also a solution for a poorly designed and leaky roof over the vaulted first floor den. The vault was removed leaving the den ceiling at the typical height of the remainder of the house. The kitchen and master bath were renovated, hardwood floors were added throughout the second floor and the existing first floor hardwoods were refinished. The focus of the project is the barrel vaulted recreation room which fulfilled a design request by Mrs. Sherman to use a curve in the addition.
