Dee Blackburn, AIA

Dee Blackburn founded studio 1 architects in 2001 after working at Gantt Huberman Architects in Charlotte, NC and Cherry Huffman Architects in Raleigh, NC. A native of Evansville, Indiana, Dee received her Bachelor of Architecture from North Carolina State University in 1994. She was the recipient of several design awards while in school and won a National Design Competition for affordable housing in 1994. While at Cherry Huffman Architects, one of her projects, the United Church of Chapel Hill, won a Design Award from the NC Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.
